HanziFlow is designed to be a local-first Chinese vocabulary learning app. Your vocabulary, decks, review progress, favorites, settings, and widget data are stored on your device.

Information We Collect

HanziFlow does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

• Vocabulary words and custom decks you create or import
• Review progress and learning status
• Favorites and known-word selections
• App settings, such as widget and reminder preferences
• Imported vocabulary from files you choose
• Text detected from images you scan using OCR

How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used only to provide app features, including:

• Showing vocabulary in Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets
• Organizing and reviewing vocabulary decks
• Tracking learning progress
• Sending vocabulary reminders
• Importing words from files or scanned images
